The Crowd Has Spoken — We’re Building It

For years, friends have been telling me the same thing: someone needs to build a real alternative to Cash Or Trade.

So I finally did the simplest possible test. I put up a landing page describing a new kind of face-value ticket marketplace and shared it on Reddit to see what would happen.

The goal was to answer three very specific questions:

• Is there real demand for a Cash Or Trade alternative?
• Would sellers actually list high-demand tickets (like Phish Sphere) at face value?
• Would buyers be willing to pay for a chance—not a guarantee—to buy those tickets at face value?

The response made the answer clear.

Yes

Traffic was strong. The waitlist grew quickly. Survey responses showed real intent on both sides of the market. People want an option that enforces face value sales, discourages hoarding, and rewards long term good behavior within the community.

That’s enough signal to move forward.

So game on. We’re building it.

When I say “we,” I mean the community. I’ll handle the building, but this only works if it’s shaped by the people who actually buy and sell tickets. Feedback, participation, and honesty matter more than polish at this stage.

I've built enough products that don't generate traction to know that nothing is gauranteed and there are a million ways this can go sideways.

It will be a challenge, but one that I’m excited to build with you.
